At IAA 2015 Helmut Eifert, Managing Director Foreign Countries, explains details about DAT consulting
- “DAT Consulting” being launched in early 2016
- Consultancy projects across the entire vehicle lifecycle
- Strong international team
Ostfildern – Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT) has founded its own consultancy firm to serve its clients better. Under the name of “DAT Consulting”, the new limited company will support international customers such as global car manufacturers / importers, banks, leasing companies and other automotive industry stakeholders in consultancy projects.
“Initially our consultancy services will centre around residual values, data mining, and technology solutions and we will also develop the new generation of SilverDAT products to the widest possible benefit of our customers. Our target customers are manufacturers and their trading organisations, as well as fleet operators and the financial services sector involved in the automotive industry. Building on our long-established core competence in the automotive sector, we will implement projects together with our customers on a global basis,” stresses Helmut Eifert, DAT Managing Director Foreign Affairs and founder of DAT Consulting.
Concrete projects dealing with residual value strategies in connection with vehicle model cycles are also planned, as well as the analysis of fleet portfolios to bring performance improvements. “We are supported in these activities by the knowledge we’ve accumulated over many decades, together with our practical experience in this area of business and our new SilverDAT product line, e.g. in the field of TCO, (Total Cost of Ownership), or the claims management service offered by SilverDAT myclaimPRO,” explains Helmut Eifert. “As for vehicle fleets, we will use our know-how to provide better decision-making support on behalf of fleet operators. This involves a strategic approach, as well operational and tactical support, deeply involved in client’s day-to-day business, where required.”
Another of DAT’s fields of activity is in data mining, which involves the analysis and tailored evaluation of the extensive database which DAT has available to it, as a result of its specialised role in the automotive industry, since DAT was founded in 1931. This includes vehicle data, parts information, repair data, new vehicle prices and prices for used vehicles. “Particularly for our long-standing, loyal customers, we will improve the processing of our “treasure trove” of data and further develop this data to make it more useful for and better suited to our customers’ requirements.”
DAT Consulting will be launched in early 2016. The current DAT Account Management team will be reinforced by consultancy work with existing as well as new customers, via close teamwork between the DAT Consulting team and the Key Account Management at DAT GmbH. “All the members of the DAT Consulting team have extensive international consulting experience at top management level and have career backgrounds in the automotive industry. We see ourselves as partners to the stakeholders in the automotive sector and our values are trust and reliability, providing innovative strategic and operative solutions,” Helmut Eifert concluded.
